You know, I really gotta salute Lito Camo, the novelty songwriter. Another sleepless night due to some of his creations. you see, I have been listening these past few hours to (I know, it's unbelievable but true) novelty songs. that's right, novelty songs, the ones you usually hear during noontime variety shows, particularly those that are sung by bayani agbayani and vhong navarro. wait, don't judge me yet, let me explain first why. my story starts while I was looking for good shots of the jaboom twins on the internet(can't help it; they're heavenly creations) for my "collage of 10". sadly, most of their fansites are down, except for one forum that caught my eye. It says there that the twins have done a new mtv for a shampoo product (forgot what it was), and the video's currently shown on myx and on the local stations. so I got up and turned on my tv. as if my luck just got a super boost, suddenly, there it was, the video featuring the twins, currently being shown on channel 2. they were singing a song for the shampoo they were endorsing. I don't know if it was the twins or the song, but it held me in my position right through until the ad ended. so I was thinking, maybe it was the twins, but as I went back to my PC, the song was kinda repeating inside of my head, on and on, until I was humming to the tune subconciously while I was browsing. it did'nt bother me too much before, but it went on and on inside my head, even as I was playing pRO, until I can't stand it anymore and decided to borrow a cd full of novelty songs, which contained the twins' song, from a friend of mine. but I did'nt listen to it right away. later that day, I was in a cranky mood because my dad made me research some documents on the internet about some laws, 'cause he's a lawyer. he was really bossy, not to mention his ignorance about the internet. I was being blamed for the slow internet speed and the unyielding results made by the search engines. It was really making me mad. anyway, I was in a bad mood after finishing the "research", when I saw the cd I borrowed from my friend earlier that day. since I had nothing to do then, I decided to listen to the cd. later, while I was running thru the cd, the songs I was listening to really caught my ear. I was actually moving to the beat. I was really surprised with the automatic reaction of my body to the songs, and (to my opinion) they were really enjoyable to listen to. nice tune, good beats. It really made me forget my bad mood. after listening to the songs, it made me think. these novelty songs, they really catch the mood of the people, it usually appeals to the masses. once they are played, a happy mood usually comes over those who listen to the song. don't you notice something strange about these songs, the way they always run in 4-beats, most of the time using percussion sounds, and usually have high-tone sounds? there might be a subliminal frequency unnoticed by the human ear that induces a "happy" effect on the brain. hmm, you know what I think? Lito Camo might be a secret conspiracy agent hired by the government to create songs containing these "subliminal" tunes that are disseminated thru the local channels, in order to calm down the masses so they won't revolt? ah, it's too far-fetched, but who knows? It could be that the american government's using us as guinea pigs for some new conspiracy propaganda material. I mean, they have been doing it since the cold war. we might never know the truth. oh well.....

(by the way, I'm still crazed about the jaboom twins and their video, and sandara park too, 'cause she's part of my collage of 10, so if anyone there knows some resource site about them, please let me know about it)

oooh... subliminal tunes... creepy idea.

i don\'t like it if i get lss (last song syndrome) with a novelty song... but yeah... they must\'ve been subliminal tunes.

i watched lito camo\'s life\'s dramatization in maalaala mo kaya... he\'s been through shit. a whole lot of shit, i wonder how that helped him write those happy-happy songs.

yeah, lito camo really is good in what he does.

i mean.. you\'ll just find yourself singing and dancing to a tune and steps you wouldn\'t dare dance in front of your friends.

maybe there *is* a conspiracy!
